Welcome!!! My name is John and we want to try
to recreate some wonderful moments we experienced during the Memorial Weekend
of this millennial year! The setting at This is the way people lived 50 to 75 years ago. This is like a return to a better time. Come along and enjoy! |

And so, these people adhering to these values have gathered in this picturesque setting to listen to great bluegrass gospel and southern gospel music performed by outstanding musicians. Many of those who came to primarily listen also play or "pick" themselves. It is the rule, rather than the exception, to see clusters of people gathered around motorhomes or trailers playing various musical instruments and singing. But it is more than a musical event. On Sunday morning, we had an opportunity to attend an outstanding worship service. This was a very special time. |

Approximately 275 rigs were on the
ground! Some of the crowd of people who attended the
event! In addition to RVers, many people drove in
for the day. Can you tell we are relaxed and there is a sense of peace and
happiness in the air? The group, Outreach, is on the stage. We
later visited with one of the members, Stonewall Jackson. What a nice guy he
is! Some of the other groups were the Village Singers, the Clear Creek |

The Salmon's have worked long and
hard to make the park a pleasure to experience! The figures at center right
add to the visitor's pleasure! We like this RV Park! We liked the event! We appreciated Floyd Salmon getting down on the ground and solving an electrical problem for us. He is still recovering from open heart surgery. We are certain to be back! |

one another when things were difficult! The same kind of values we hold important are present at this festival. |

Darsey’s is no longer open, but it was like stepping back in time
for 60 years. The floor was made of wood that was well worn, the coolers were
"mature" and the contemporary gadgets were noticeably missing. What
was obviously present is a wonderful sense of peace, happiness and old time
goodness! |

The Ork Express is
ready for the trip home. This wonderful weekend is at an end. We can hardly wait to take the Ork Express out the next time!!! But, Grapeland....... We will be back!!!! OH...... THE NAME OF OUR MOTOR HOME Terry's mom says we care for one another so much we are not like any couple she has ever known. She is convinced we are, in her words, "from another planet"! She has even given us a pillow/cushion that has "Just visiting this Planet" on it! She says we are from Ork! Hence the name The Ork Express! |
