From John Gallemore My wife and I are Christians. We are careful not to "hit people over the head" with our faith, but we are also not quiet about our belief when asked or the opportunity presents itself to tell how we have been blessed. We are of the opinion that sooner or later we all are faced with situations that require a source of power that is beyond ourselves. We believe that power to be the God introduced in the Bible in His Three Persons. We believe the Bible clearly states that individuals reach a point where that power is no longer available. That is why it is so important not to put off making a decision that changes one's eternal destiny. God has blessed me in spite of myself. My wife and I believe we are experiencing the happiest times of our lives. All our children are grown. My wife's son is a superintendent for a construction company traveling over the United States and other parts of the world in his business and is now working in Alaska. My daughter is married raising a family in a nearby city, active in her church and working in the field of insurance as an insurance agent. My son is married and is an assistant pastor in charge of music and creative arts for a local church. I have spent most of my adult life as a police officer in a major city and have had a most interesting work careerand have had the good fortune to work with many outstanding dedicated people. However, deciding to retire was the smartest decision I ever made. Like the man said, "So much to do, so little time"! Visiting the homebound
and the hospitalized for our church, , getting into computer classes to learn more about webpage design, trying to learn how to play the guitar, the autoharp and
the dulcimer, participating in bluegrass jams and enjoying the RV lifestyle
prevents me from being bored! Back to:
