In a world of terrorism, dictatorships, and weapons of mass destruction, can the events that happened 2,000 years ago on a hillside near Jerusalem actually make a difference in our lives today? Does the suffering of Jesus Christ on the cross and His bodily resurrection three days later still have the power to defeat the enemies of all that is good and right? The answer is a triumphant "Yes!"

It is important for us to remember that the last words Jesus spoke before His death on the cross were, "It is finished." The debt of our sin had been paid in full. Yet even though the work of redemption was finished, Jesus was not finished. Three days later, Jesus was raised from the dead by the power of God. The power of God is greater than any power that exists in the world today. More than any army, more than any weapon, more than any ruler, Jesus Christ is Lord over all and has power over all.

1. The Power of the Blood of Jesus – Nothing else can bring you forgiveness.

2. The Power of the Gospel – Nothing else can save your soul.

3. The Power of the Cross – Nothing else can deliver you from the slavery of sin.

“We know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.” ROMANS 6:6 NIV

4. The Power of the Word – Nothing else can bring you transforming truth.
